The Mystery Of The Missing Honey – Amaani H Sa’dia

Once upon a time, there was a family of Bees. One day, they went out looking for honey. At first, they couldn’t find any honey but then they spotted some honey by an old oak tree. They collected the honey and put it into little jars, and then they went home.

The next morning, Mama bee was about to make breakfast when she thought she should count the jars of honey first. She began counting, “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ….6! I’m sure there were 7 yesterday!” She shrugged her shoulders and went on making breakfast.

The next day, Mama Bee counted the jars again and this time there were 5! “Hmmm how strange!” she thought, “someone has been taking our honey.” She told her children to guard the honey at night so that they could catch the honey thief.

In the middle of the night, the children hid under the table and waited. Finally, they heard footsteps approaching the kitchen. They saw something big and furry opening the cupboard and reaching for a honey jar. Then they crept up, caught the culprit, turned on the light, and who did they see? ….. Daddy bee!
