Bottles – Barabra Mellin

Barbara Mellin is an award winning artist (painter and printmaker) and writer. She relocated about 10 years ago to Winston Salem, NC from the Boston area, where she had taught art classes for more than 25 years. Her art has appeared in juried exhibitions throughout the US and internationally online. She has also had one-woman exhibitions or select small group shows at Duke U (Durham), Chapel Hill, High Point U., Salem College, Central Piedmont Community College, several Arts Council Galleries, at Artworks, Studio 7, and Red Dog Galleries in Winston Salem, NC., PTI Airport, and others. She holds a graduate degree in Art History from Harvard, where she received the “Crite Prize” (first place) for her thesis on the American artist Frank Vincent DuMond and is currently working on a book about that artist. A world traveler, she believes connecting with people and places influences her life and her art. She also writes frequently about the arts and culture for international, national and local publications.
