Please,
Excuse the mess.
The shutters are falling off,
The wooden walls are rotting,
And the roof,
Oh! The russet stained metal roof,
Surely, it’s rusting away.
Vegetation,
There is none.
The drought took it away,
Along with our water.
The milky white cow,
Over there in the barren pasture,
It can be considered dead.
I should just bury it now.
You knock,
And the door falls off its hinges.
